More Parameters unity

I would really to appreciate if sdk 3.0 would get more Parameters.
128 (bools) or 16 int/float are not enough.
They are way to fast used up when you wanna do stuff.
partical pen 32 or so gone
clone system another 20 or so are gone
some hue shifts and you barely have space left.
increasing it to 256 bools/or 32 ints-floats would be amazing. everybody could do some much for great work for there avatars.

Vard: finally they do something ;)

I want an extra bit for fingers.
Unity has 20 parameters on the finger, so 40 Float (320 bits) is needed on the left and right, but now there are only 16.
Oculus is capable of finger Skeleton Tracking, and SteamVR has a Full Skeleton Input level.

[1181] [Feature Request] More Parameters
fluff ≺3
Due we now got OSC & PhysicsBones, we need more parameter slots (possibly double) 256 instead of 128.
We getting limited now by the parameter amount, I already get close to 80 on normal avatars and with more options for floats in PhysicsBone I will reach this cap in no time.
It pretty straight to the point can't really say more about it.

Unrelated to this Open Beta! Moving to the appropriate board and merging with extant posts.

To add to this i'd love to see an increase to the update rate of parameters. My face tracking is currently limited to 4hz because of OSC's update rate.
I don't get why they give you so little parameters, it's extremely limiting and especially with the avatar dynamics beta and OSC stuff you're going to run out extremely quickly.

Just having variable sized ints would help a lot already, since I'm often using ints to swap between maybe 5 - 10 different options, which could easily fit into 3 or 4 bits as well. Considering a variable number of bools are already supported, bit alignment doesn't seem to be a problem, so please allow us to have anything from 2 to 8 bit integers.
JCity
Yeah the 128 limit is really restrictive already. I really want to add face tracking to my avatar but because of the memory limit I have to do some parameter crunching and remove features to even fit the basics.
DrBlackRat
You know that all the values you get from Phys Bones and Contacts don't need to be in the Expression Menu Parameters right? They sync on their own
NotAKidoS
DrBlackRat: They don't really sync with AD, just runs on all clients at the same time. It can desync a bit, so it is recommended to use a synced parameter to send local to remote if required by your setup.
DrBlackRat
NotAKidoS: Ah okay, makes sense. For simple buttons that do one thing it's probably fine, but everything that's a bit more complex you probably should use the parameters then.
fluff ≺3
DrBlackRat: Yeah that's correct (Read it while testing it with PhysicsBones). Idk if this also works for sync to the server or if thats just 'local' for example to be sync with OSC for another application (to see if something is triggered or being grapped).
It couldn't find any options with this. But 128 what JCity said 18 is pretty much limited.
BahkaSheep
Please increase the amount of bits to 256 or even 512, we don't really need 32 bit ints. Would be great if we could choose how many bits to use for an int 2-4-8 as it would make it easier and less wasteful for use in toggle systems with multiple states.
