What: To help all the club worlds in VRChat provide whitelisting and playability of live streams from https://www.mixcloud.com/live platform.
Why: The DMCA horrors of dj twitches can end since we will have something else that is supported in VRChat that is legit.
Mixcloud is a licensed service which has agreements in place with many rights holder partners around the world including: major record labels, independent record labels, publishers, distributors, performance rights organisations, collective management organisations, and more.

We've examined the Mixcloud domain and have whitelisted it on a trial basis.
The whitelist exists only for the root domain
mixcloud.com
and does not apply to any subdomains. From our examination it doesn't appear that the site uses subdomains, but I thought I'd note that just in case.Just like with other whitelist entries, we may rescind this whitelisting at any time without notice.
Notably, the compatibility of video players and our URL resolver with this service was not tested-- we only performed a security analysis of the site.

Thanks Tupper. I will add for folks trying this out.. It looks like you can't use the live link directly...
You can however fish the master.m3u8 out of the network tab in a browser (F12, network tab, refresh)....
I tested that one with "allow untrusted" and that one will stream without any problems in VRchat. It's a little hacky by works. Considering I get a error in the latest youtube-dl I'm going to say it's a Mixcloud issue and NOT a VRChat problem!

This seems to be stuck nearly 1-1/2 years later. FWIW Mixcloud has better licensing for DJ's. Can we please get this whitelisted on VRChat?

It's worth noting that youtube-dl supports Mixcloud, and Mixcloud has it's own API: https://www.mixcloud.com/developers/
