VRChat should have a quick option to test to see what your microphone sounds like in VR. People like me use EqualizerAPO to ensure my mic is actually picked up using the volume booster. EqualizerAPO allows for different options when downloading the APO, and I can't know what my mic sounds like in VR unless others record videos and send it back, not allowing for testing.
