MB increase option for Quest

Went to test new beta options in beta version and noticed that the MB size increase was removed for Quest and is now permanently on 10MB for the latest update coming out soon I ask as a Creator for this not to be removed.

This is an older post, but I wanna say you can now have AVIs up to an infinite length on Quest, by changing it to No Limit.

It just shows that they dont care about Quest users at all. More and more of us Quest2 users are no longer able to travel out of our homespace, and there is no option to clear out memory on the Q2 headset. Its a damn shame to, because we really loved VRC.

tbh you guys should have just left it dont matter what other people "Complain" about if we want out mb over 10 we should have that choice dont take it from us its honestly stupid i wont be playing vrv anymore till its fixed because it made the game so much more btter i could see more avis have more pc avis converted you guys ruin it for quest and get Greedy with money all because you want mobile to be able to play the game even tho mobile has less ram than a quest

ᴋᴀʀᴍᴀ ღ: I am curious about how you were using VRChat. Really small groups? Only looking at the bigger avatars in private?
Even with avatars now 100% limited 10MB Quest standalone crashes often.
Wherever I see my quest friends in models that on PC are hundreds of thousands of polygons and like 20-40 materials I like to ask about the quest stats, and compare notes on what works. There has been a few times where there is like one toggle missing, so the quest polygon count is 40k less. But the rest is all there.
Another time there was a nice shield design and the quest version had half the pixels.
Overall I believe VRChat needs to offer up something to encourage avatar creators to reduce the polygon count. I recently saw an avatar with a katana that was obviously kitbashed from three models, the blade was clearly ps2 era, a small area connecting blade to handle, covering the base of the blade had enough polygons to be used in a 3D film, and the handle had an inbetween amount. On the positive side I'm confident that both Quest and PC see the same polygons for that sword.

please just up the limit to 15 or 20mb then you could just have a ui option using the same spot as it has on pc for the file size limit on avatars for quest users then say if a pc user like my self has many quest friends and want a avatar i have uploaded to have the same toggles as i see that little bit of extra file size allows that. plus it would give users the option if they want to see less optimized avatars or not. or even just make it so anything over 10mb needs to be fully shown for it to show up. with the detail we go into for our avatars only for our friends not to be able to see it at that level kills it for the quest users and pc users with not wanting to upload under 10mb making there avatar look like its from gmod in 2004.

TRAVYYYBEATZ: most crashes for VRChat on Quest are due to out of memory errors. The headset has 6 gigabytes of RAM.
Right now there is a hard limit in the avatar SDK, for an avatar to be uploaded to VRChat the compressed avatar bundle must be less than 10 MB.
In a way that can limit the RAM usage of an avatar, so increasing it would allow avatars to use more RAM, making running out easier to do.
Maybe it won't make things much worse, but this change won't make things better for Quest users running out of ram.
With server side stats in the pipeline, personally I'd like the hard cap to be based on uncompressed asset bundle size.

As somebody who quests avatars for myself and others EXTREMELY often. Myself and other creators would benefit from an increase for quest avatars. Even just a 5mb bump would be beneficial!

I feel as though there should not be a capped limit to the megabytes on questies as it limits the avatar options and thus results in alot of backlash so I feel as though the limit to 10MB should be limitless and questies should be allowed as many MB for avatar options and all sorts of other options there shouldn't be a limit on the amount on MB for anyone so it would be best to remove that 10MB limit

As a questionthe update where they raise the max megabytes of what can be seen was very big for us because since were able to see up to 100 MB a lot of options for avatars that I couldn’t see were unlocked and I enjoyed it a lot
and since that feature was taken away and capped at 10 MB, it is like we are being limited again we arealready limited. As questie to what we can see and for you guys to take it away from us. Once again, it’s just plain rude, and makes people like me and my friends no longer want to play VR chat because the amount of limitation’s quest his deal with on a daily basis lplease ask you to re-add this feature back on and allow questies to see as they once did before if people decide to raise their max avatar download size that is their own decision and doing you guys do not need to limit or cap them for noreason so please add this feature back ono

I personally haven't uploaded avatars past 10mb, but keeping it be able to see avatars past 10mb would be great, since uploading avatars past 10mb and seeing it would mean more possibilities for quest avatars. I would like it if they actually change the upload limit from 10 to 20
