Icon to indicate player having VR

I would like there to be a small icon in the name tag to indicate if a player has/doesn't have VR, something like the letters VR with a line over it for those who don't, for example.

What if this creates elitism from VR players to Desktop players?
I can easily see people despising Desktop players because they have an icon (or lack thereof) indicating so.

Sometimes — and only sometimes — it's a feature I really want to see in VRC, especially in competitive games. Would be even better if we could not only indicate VR users, but also limit access to specific features designed only for them, such as joining a team on Battle Discs. I know everyone hates desktop users who don't read the sign.

You can just look at a player's hands. There's no need for an icon.

Ok, I'm gonna clarify a few things said here, yeah, I know you can just look at how a player moves etc, but even though I'm not using VR, I still heard a lot of people asking me and others if they ahd VR, which was annoying, and my solution was to make the obvious answer even more obvious.

I'm not sure that adding in a possible source of segregation is necessary. How would people benefit from this knowledge?

I really don't see the need to this, since you can just use your little brain and see if the person is moving its hand or not, but since it is such a small addition and would help people know if someone is using it or not, I don't see why they wouldn't do it

I never understood why they ask so much. Just look at them moving. If they move their arms when they run and look around all rigid then they dont. If they got their arms at their sides or in front like a t rex and theyre moving them to grab things and interact, chances are they have vr

LordKamakazi: new people may not know, but thankfully most of us have speech and can inform them.

I really don’t see a need for a player tag that says you have VR in a VR game, people just need to learn the obvious signs that someone has VR.
Shanie
Zandario: this. This is an unnecessary addition to the user interface.
Suz
Zandario: Agreed.

I use VR and I get the question all the time. I'm always wondering if they can't see my hands moving.. This would be a great addition. To my knowledge, knowing someone has VR or not doesn't break the fun and you can deduce if someone has one by looking at their avatar. This would make the annoying and repeating question dissapear. Perhaps a poll could be held to ask VR users whether they would like to show their specific hardware as additional tag in their name.
