Full hand skeletons
complete

I would like to be able to - by writing an OpenXR or Steam driver - or by using hand tracking from ALVR or any other means - to be able to send through the full hand skeleton to VRChat, in a similar way to Neos.
This would allow me to use any hand gesture for sign languages, including being able to sign the full ASL alphabet.
This would include splay (spreading the fingers apart, or even together into each other) and individual joint information.

How's it going? Quest3 is coming

Please put some research into an application called SRWorksRuntime.exe . It's made by HTC, and uses your HMD's camera to track your hands for finger tracking.
See demo here:
This demo shows it working on a HTC Vive Pro, but it doesn't even need to be that HMD or even the camera on that HMD. It can also be a chest mounted camera.
You also might want to get involved with the LucasVR gloves community. They have hand tracking gloves that allow for splay and the like. They were even showcased in a Linus Tech Tips video. Hope this helps you.

Elocin_Anagram: I'm already involved in that LucidVR community.

Shouldn't have mentioned Neos, VRC devs reaaaaaally dislike when you bring up other games that have features they do not.

This is especially useful with the latest hand tracking update for quest 2, especially with there being a standalone app.
This would do absolute wonders for the ASL community, both within and without VR, as people would be able to learn full ASL/BSL in VR and then apply it in real life.
