Find an Age Verification Provider Not Linked to Palantir

Persona is in fact, linked to Palantir.
This is the same controversy discord is having currently with it's verification.
Persona is currently in several disputes regarding maintaining user data longer than it's privacy clause dictates due to said involvement with palantir.
Palantir is pushing for a surveillance state that puts minority groups at risk.
Palantir Is not something VRC should want to be associated with.

I will refuse to age verify for as long as Persona is used as the company. I don't them trust their word with Peter Thiel as a shareholder. VRChat, PLEASE pick another vendor, preferably from the EU where there's actual solid privacy protection laws and where the nation hasn't gone insane for the last few weeks. Frankly, I don't think any US data company can be trusted at this time. Thanks.

Also the three people that threatened doxxing me got the wrong address despite me saying I live in the Twin Cities area of MN multiple times on my socials. It is amazing how bad they are at this.

It's been almost a month without any official response to us.
I hope, really hope they still care about the community in this regard.
Any vendor isn't worth trusting imo, and Persona is probably the last option to take.

Deantwo I've read that. It is a response. But I don't really think it is a proper way to clarify the situation they're facing, and the direction they're taking. I should've written this way.
This issue goes beyond the VRChat safety feature. Every player in real world could be affected, not in the game. It's frustrating that their response was only to the one of the smallest audience they have.

This is a genuine privacy risk. I've been listening in on Persona for a while now, and the general consensus is that Persona is not to be trusted with your biometric data.

Age verification in general is a gamble and a bad idea; you really don't know what the company does with your information. At the end of the day, I wouldn't give your biometric data away, but that is your choice if you wanna risk that.

Discord issued a press release about how they are no longer working with Persona.
I hope VRChat staff reads the whole thing and understand that this is the type of thing we hope VRChat can also consider.
