Epilepsy Detection

VRChat needs to detect seizures (the headset is too low to the floor and there is involuntary movement being input to the controllers) and ask the user if they're ok; if not, shut off the headset.
Some people may not know they are epileptic, a feature like that would be able to help in those cases.

I did think about this but I don't think it's realistic to have a popup every time a user is on the floor, it's definitely important, more people will experience seizures in VR yet, that's inevitable.
But the dilemma is that people who know they are suspectable to them probably shouldn't be playing VRchat, at least for now.
If VRchat adds in an option to enable a warning when you're on the floor for example then all this is going to do is encourage people who do have problems to play the game using that as a bit of a failsafe, it could actually cause more harm than good. Also the majority of people that have never had a problem before wouldn't enable the option.
I think the best option is when the headset is right on the ground say 1ft, any head size+ headset. Then the headset would black out or darken the screen but it wouldn't turn off the headset. On top of this there would need to be a certain height, say 2-3ft that the headset must move back above in order for the filter to be removed, it wouldn't be very good if it was flashing on and off..
With something like this it's ok to enable for everyone and I believe most people wouldn't be too concerned if they understand the reasons it was put there. If the headset needed to be nearly on the ground to activate this then in most situations where someone is crawling on the floor or lieing down it shouldn't bother them.
As an extra the filter could still be put on a timer, so if it does get near the floor it wouldn't active until it has been on the floor for 2.5 or more seconds, it'd probably be best for the filter to active slowly, darkening the screen over another 2.5 seconds, I don't know exactly how a seizure works, I'm just suggesting it.
This would still be invasive for the experience of players (sometimes), but quite rarely, this of course assumes that when someone is having a seizure they will be on the floor.
As a final option for players that are frequently crawling around on the floor there could be a feature so that when the filter is active it can be removed by pressing the menu buttons, this really wouldn't feel like a big deal or effect immersion when people get used to it, they would just get on the floor and press the menu buttons with out thinking if they needed to do it, (as a natural reaction).
As for sound, I don't know if it'd be best to have sound turned off or not, there's situations where the people around could actually be helpful to hear, but there's also many situations where people would just joke around, especially if you're a mute player, also in a club or somewhere with loud sound could probably make the situation worse for someone.
(But disabling sound would get really annoying for a lot of people and I think it's a fairly minor thing, it could be a good idea to lower the volume slightly though just to be safe).
I think I thought of everything, it'd be nice to see something like this in the game, VRchat is a special place, everyone should be happy in VR and nobody should be hurt! Having a feature like this in the game would also raise awareness quite a lot too, which is a huge point and people would be more mindful of this happening to someone.
