So imagine there's this one person being toxic and using obnoxious shaders all the time, maybe even using modded clients to annoy people. You go and votekick them, and a few seconds after some of their friends tells them and they come at you and start harassing you or they kick you instead (or even worse, they come and crash you instantly). I've been in that situation way too many times and it's not pleasant. Is it really necessary to show who started the votekick?

migero: Crashers only make their way so far before they are banned, so having a secure poly limit such as setting minimum peformance rank to "poor" and turning custom anims off for users from rank visitor to new user - user can stop crashing. Sure you won't see some avatars and their flair, but at least your fps wont tank ever due to some horribly unoptimized avatars and almost never will you crash due to some new arrogant players.

FurriestWolf: the game already tries to combat crashers,its just that ways adapt to crash people and will always, and i also disagree with the OC since people would abuse the vote kick system by spamming it conatantly after cooldown, i had a friend who wanted to kick anyone they disagreed with and that was supet annoying to see yhe popup everytime

I personally run a vpn when playing if I am possibly in an unsafe world. It still gives the player the choice to crash me though which is not cool. Plz add this.

i +1'd but if they use a moded client it wont matter, theyl see you did it and come crash you, or get your IP and DDoS you for a few hours, until VRC takes security seriously its going to happen

ᴀ ʀ ɪ ᴏ ɴ: I wouldnt be willing to install a brand new engine, learn how to use it, and transfer all my data over. Regardless of how fast we transfer over, all things will still have to be rebuilt for the new engine.
A lot of content creators in this game aren' professionals with game design, they spent their limited time learning just enough of unity to make avatars and worlds. Can you imagine how this will effect your typical casual avatar creators who aren't professionals. Unity is considered the easiest game engine to learn and use too, I can only imagine the struggle for some people switching to UE4.

I would understand if they made a UE4 version ALONGSIDE the current unity one and allow us to choose which one that suits our needs. But I know that I and most of my friends with lots of avatars wouldn't be too keen on having to redo everything.

SAADHERO: Yeah but Pavlov is different. There's no shaders to annoy people with, there's actual penalties for annoying the team and no one can just go and crash you or spawn portals on your face because the security isn't shit.

TheHeimZocker: Blocking does not stop malicious users from doing stuff to you. I have first hand expirence with someone doing stuff to me even though i had them blocked.....

TheHeimZocker: When I votekick someone I don't do it just because it annoys me, but because it will be an annoyance to everyone else. If it only annoys me I block them and that's it.
