Because of some great tools the community has made for saving Dolly paths externally, there's some real advantages for directors and even streamers to setting up camera paths in desktop mode. However currently in desktop mode, the types of moves you can make with the camera are limited (e.g. no rolling moves). It would be amazing if we could get the same set of controls for roll pitch and yaw moves on desktop as we can create in VR so that we can create cool dolly paths for from desktop for future use.
