I think this would be great addition. Ever wanted to changed specific setting value with program (without opening first the small menu then getting the big menu open and finding the setting you want to change)? For example forced camera near distance, it resets everytime i start the game to off and i have to manually go into settings to turn it again on dynamic. Maybe you want to change maximum download size and or maximum uncompressed size on specific cases and dont want press the - or + button like 20 times because it only can change the value by 5 everytime you click. That would also make it possible to automate changing settings for example player voices when you fall asleep and the program detects your asleep
