Built-In parameters for Face tracking
Rantis
If VRC had internal parameters (not tied to a specific api) we could have full face tracking without flooding the custom parameter list, it could be a tickbox on the avatar descriptor.
AFK is an example of an internal parameter that can be used and animated without needing to be added to the list of parameters, this can be done for face tracking floats as well.

I know there is a workaround to access IK syncing for a limited number of parameters using the expression parameters and puppet wheels, but it is limited to 8 parameters at any given time and you have to have a radial menu open on each hand for it to work which is a pain.
If there were an option to simply set a parameter to IK sync (perhaps with a limited number of parameters), or possibly just have some built into the sdk based off of unified expressions as it is more robust and universal than arkit or sranpai that would be amazing.
Otherwise the common solution is to do interpolation in the animation layers based with a much slower sync rate of playable sync parameters, which is lethargically slow.

Im just kinda bumping this, since i just realized today how limited the sync rate is of it as well. I used to play with visems disabled until I realized how bad it looked on the other end :(

it'd need to be well maintained to support modern headsets though, the last thing we want is the promise they made of even adding individual eye blinking and then not seeing even that relatively very simple addition

I'd love a set of parameters with the same refresh rate as IK Sync.

Here is a list of blendshapes with the standard PerfectSync
I think you will have no trouble expressing yourself in face tracking if you have enough of these. (It's a bit excessive)
It is said that the number of OSC parameters is not enough to express with OSC.
