Blacklist Function for map creator
TheMrTorbi
As a map creator it can be hard to moderate your worlds you have on public. Everywhere there are hackers, crasher and others, who are always harassing other players.
The idea is this :
To make sure that you can add a list of people who are not allowed on the map or moderators who can moderate this map. The people who are on this blacklist will see that they are on it, but they can't join it anymore. I think that this feature could make some maps run much better. And I think that every creator is serious enough not to take advantage of this feature.
This would also relieve the VRChat moderators and give them more time for more important things.

With the new Udon, this has me wondering. I have not had a chance to play with Udon yet as I don't have the time to learn how it works right now. But as I have seen in other VRC worlds, specifically CTF or Steel and Gold, the world can get the usernames of people for team building.
What if this concept could be applied so that the map gets the username of every user that joins and if they match a list it will automatically put them in a box with a sign 'you are blacklisted from this world'.

xxx_red_xxx: That is very possible.

I gave it a second thought and maybe a personal blacklist is what Torbi needs/means. So he can blacklist someone and whenever he opens a new instance of a world this person can't join his instance(not world). Of course there needs to be some information like "the creator of that instance blacklisted you" if someone unwanted wants to join. That way it is still possible for those people to open a new instance or join others in this world as long as Mr.Torbi didn't create the instance.

Considering world instance createor is owner if the world with the map (it essentially a server on it's own) which already have moderation rights on that world (can warn and kick), banning people from using map will only create needless issues when people want to join each other (some people would say that private worlds alone already creates those problems). And trust me, everyone knows that there would be unjustified map bans, im too long on internet to not predict that.
Not to mention you always have option to keep your map not public where you always be world owner and have moderation rights on it, i know some people aspecially on Japanese side of community that does that.

Shadowriver: I would love to ban everyone who has me blocked from my worlds
Zennshi
Yeah, sure. Lets implement this, your world will have zero traffic in no time.

No thanks. I can see this becoming a disaster. Imagine a hypothetical situation where a single person controls all of the most popular maps in VRChat (not the case right now, it's a hypothetical). They could effectively ban you from the game by banning you from their world. Too much drama, too much power.
What this game needs more of is proper moderation. Rather than putting this power in the hands of any random world creator, VRC has to step up their game and start
moderating
it. The "hackers and crashers" you mention are already violating the TOS.Legoman99573
As a map maker, I see this heavily abused blacklisting someone from the world and would cause people to take your reputation and drag it to the ground, thus no one would want to visit your world anymore. I don't have a problem kicking someone out of my world if they have me blocked as most do block owner and start crashing the whole lobby BS which is easy report.
But maybe adding people as a can kick out of world option isn't that bad, but limit to 3 per world.

It's not necessary. Blacklist job is belong to the administrator of VRChat to decide, not us. It even create an ethic issue if they do give the map creator to blacklist people.

No. And are you the same guy who asked for permission to enter private sessions of your worlds just because you are the author?

Great idea imo. Good Feature for Communities and small worlds. But never forget: with great power comes great responsibility

To much power to cause more harassment we already have enough of that through our 'humbly' and 'decent' Streamers in Publics.
