This might be a question that’s been asked before, so I wanted to propose a soft-pilot program at the end of the post as well. I think the team should consider adding VRC credits as a perk of VRC+, or to make a certain amount of credits available per day for free. I think if VRchat goes in a shop direction (which it increasingly is), this would be a huge incentive to purchase VRChat+ or play more often (and buy more stuff, fueling creator economy in turn).
I acknowledge this has been discussed before and may create a dip in gross revenue and cash that VRChat receives, so maybe as a soft pilot program, you could try periodically “throwing in” some VRC+ credits with a VRC+ subscription to entice new users and reward current subscribers. Maybe for Christmas or other small limited time windows, make a bundle of VRC+ plus some credits, and see what adoption looks like compared to baseline VRC+ subscriptions? You’d probably have to offer the existing VRC+ members with some credits as a “gift for sticking around” to get them to try the currency as well. Maybe attempt it periodically? Because if it does go well, that could potentially be a nice increase in revenue, for both creators and VRChat themselves. Maybe something to experiment with…
