Allow performance gating to be dynamically adjustable for live instances
SushiFerret
While I think the current direction of performance gating for instances is already a huge benefit for event hosts, I think it would be even more beneficial to allow instance hosts to change the performance settings while the instance is already live (similar to the options available for items, stickers, etc) in order to adjust for the changes in attendance numbers.
For instance, during a full 80-person instance, having "poor or better" enabled would be a huge benefit. However, during the very beginning and end of many events, the attendance may only be something like 30 people. In this case, an avatar performance limit may not be needed.
This could also be used for events with a raised instance cap, such as 100+ person instances being able to change to medium or better.

This, one of the big issues we have at events is we like to lax the rules later on, the perf gating means we'd have to move to a new instance to do so which has been one of the things putting many larger scale events off using it and just continuing with staff telling people to change

let's add to that.
Allow group/self owned instances to be adjustable. Made a group public but now you want it private? Let us switch (throw up a warning to those not in the group before the switch happens 5min)

I think this can be worked around by... Making a new instance. I get it's not ideal though.
I'm always for more options and possibilities though. I just don't think it should be a priority if it's non-trivial to implement.

Fastolph New instances work but still come with the added friction typically associated. Large events that are hard to get into may lose people who already waited in queue for the first instance. Or if theres a sudden spike in attendance when you're already in the middle of a performance, you would have to move everyone, including the performer while they're busy etc.
Granted, I also know that if it was a simple flick of a switch to add this they likely would have included it and given the wider needs of the platform it's totally understandable to not make this a priority nor am I personally expecting them to. I figured at the very least though, a canny helps gauge how interested people actually are in this and by extension how much it is/isnt worth devoting time and resources to when compared against the amount of effort it would theoretically take.

Ah yea, I only considered it under the angle of "the event is finished and folks are just chillin".
Switching mid-event to increase the requirements rather than lowering them tho, yea that could be useful. Especially if you didn't expect as many people.
