This is the latest feedback request, which indicates (with the latest update just moments ago) that the audio sliders were changed from Log10 to Log2:
However, it wasn't stated that there would be an option between the Linear scaling and Logarithmic (Log2) scaling. Users like myself prefer the old Linear scaling (the one that VRChat deemed incorrect and swapped to Log10).
I have sensitive hearing and the old method was great. I very often kept my master volume at 100% and the max I would ever put a slider was 70%. With Log10, I needed to put voices at 100%, world at 5%, and master at 50%, and it still wasn't close to what I had it at before. Nevermind that many worlds with video players would now blast my ears out at 50% master and 40% world volume. Log2 should fix this somewhat, but this request is:
  • Allow us to choose between the old Linear scaling and the new Log2 scaling
I much prefer how the old sliders worked. Sure, they may be technically "wrong", but I much prefered them.
Please do this. I don't want to have to constantly run my audio sliders at 25% and have very little control over the volume of my audio.
