Add Underaged Reporting.

I have been around for awhile now in VRC and I have noticed a growing number of children under the ages of 9 and younger coming into the VRC worlds and harassing normal players. I would like to request to add a report under-aged player to the report forms to help deal with these problems and set an understanding that rules must be upheld. Otherwise They're just going to think they can do what ever they wish without consequences and sexual predators are going to attack these children. I have heard such cases in vr already to have happened from others I have met the youngest being 5 years of age.

Please for the love of everything good, add this. I ran into an actual 5-year-old just the other night that was being harassed by a bunch of people in the lewd FNAF avatars. I've seen other horrors as well that could be potentially avoided if we could just get these actual toddlers off the game. There is no reason they should be here - I know their parents aren't doing their jobs and that sucks, but more could be done in VRChat itself to try and prevent all of the horrible things going on in this community towards and from minors.

Yees. When reporting there is no catsgory that covers age. So can’t report and get these damn kids off of VRC. I still try to help by letting them know when I run in to them. It’s crazy.

Hope they find a way to fix this soon before things will get worse and wont be able to be fix from so much damage from underage kids joining a adult world. I have a feeling that soon the news will hit vrchat and make it into something worse that they have to shut down vrchat.
LoppyDaCutie
They should just enforce 2-fa to prevent these kids from playing

I have an idea for this (the 2 factor authentication could include 2 sets of numbers: one as a text message to the phone and one to the email connected to the VR Chat, Steam or Meta account to login)

once i saw someone in a public lobby who was so young they literally couldnt speak proper english and a naked.... horse... avatar was running around in that same lobby, game def needs more moderation on that level

I feel if child reporting under the age of the tos that gets reported and that child gets punished, there should be an email sent out to a parent email because kids 13+ will let their brother or sister get on their headset or just on vrchat in general who are the main cause of this issue. An email would get sent from vrchat to the parent informing them about this issue. For example, if they are caught using a VR headset. Then the account would be sent back to meta/oculus company with the regarding the ip information or VR headset ID or some sort of info that leads back to the headset and that away children would at least stay off vr headsets and people would stop letting underage kids get on their headset. If they are on index/computer then there would be a parent or guardian 2nd email applied to children accounts who are actually 13-17. Yes 17 is still considered a child even though when they reach 16 they think they are grown. There should be more strict punishments towards underage kids playing under the age of the tos.

plzzzz add underage reporting
CRiMSOM13
wont do anything VRC cant id kids nor should they.

CRiMSOM13: that’s why kids should not be on vrc for safety and legality. So if your not in the know of keeping info of user read the TOS guidelines if vrchat is found to keep underage information aka ip location etc. that can/will cost a lot of money to repay the kids that have had info used to sell/give ad aka worlds that could send them to off platform sites by QR URL or discord server and from that could that’s out of vrchats hands. So I’m going to go the YouTube lawsuit that had Google pay over 1Mil in fines due to keeping info of kids, look that up if you want to know more on that.

CRiMSOM13Wrong. If they get banned after being reported they can’t get on…

The biggest concern I have with this is the consequence of false reporting. There are many people who are younger than 13, but also many people who are 13 and up who sound young. Many adults simply don't like kids who are annoying rather than actually caring if they are specifically under 13, so I'd bet the most common use of this feature would likely be because of the user's voice.
How would someone who sounds young prove that they are 13? You could request an adult email to verify, but then that doesn't change the negligence that leads to a kid on VRChat from a parent who just hits 'yes let my kid play the silly vr game', nor stop a kid from creating a fake adult account unless it needed an ID to verify the adult's account.

I also think it's wrong to say kids will do whatever without consequence, and then use that to lead into the predators topic.
the issue isn't that the kids are harassing adults in public worlds. Keeping kids under 13 from VRChat is for the kids' safety, not the adults'. The end goal is to stop adults who manipulate socially underdeveloped kids.
But the best way to avoid kids being exposed to predators, is to first moderate the PREDATORS.
To start, control the adult content.
Adult content is not allowed at all according to TOS, just like kids under 13. Yet just like kids, because it isn't allowed, it isn't moderated by default. The BIGGEST predation issue is that adults can use nude avatars, group banners, custom emojis now. You make it moderated and controlled, you fix the biggest issue of minors exposed to things they shouldn't be, BECAUSE 13 YEAR OLDS ARE MINORS TOO.
The next thing, a kid would be more likely to put their real age if a junior account was a feature like rec-room. If a kid can still play (without access to voice chat) they would be moderated by default, instead of simply existing purely as an account that exists under the radar until it's too late.

TheCreationKing: imma ignore the issue you provided first 13 years and above is a requirement not a option, second these so called kids arent even allowed on vrchat for that reason that they pull in these people you call predators. the kids should not even be on vrchat for legal reason thats why guidelines are a thing in this social plateform also to say that its a big deal for adults yes they have every right to be on vrchat you dont get to control that unless you own there account or are a staff of vrchat.
the adults are not to blame for your mistakes if kids cant follow tos and guidelines that are said to be followed regardless of who you are then you need to find a different plateform to socialise on
TheCreationKing
LoppyDaCutie: I didn't imply that kids that were under 13 should be ignored with current TOS, my issues were about what happens if a kid who IS 13+ is reported because they sound too young or annoying.
The statement about predators was in reference to the post, where I felt it was implied that underaged kids are at fault for predators who target them because they are under 13. First, the 13+ year olds on vrchat are also a target of predators. Second, yes, adults are to blame if they target kids. The predators are there because they are predators, and a 12 year old being in game doesn't bring any more predators than a 13 year old does.
My suggestion about a junior account (which is legally viable as rec room did it), was just one way to enforce a no interaction between kids and adults without making it a pure and constant moderation issue. Not me saying that -13 kids in vrchat should be left as is.
LoppyDaCutie
TheCreationKing: I still stand by my point.
Nekotaku
TheCreationKingI think that VRC shouldn’t base the ban on one report but many. And then if it’s wrong the person can contact VRC to get back.
