Add option to enable AVPro on Proton(Linux)
sksat
When running VRChat on Proton(Linux), AVPro is disabled from VRChat 2020.3.1 to ensure stable operation
This is because the WMF(Windows Media Foundation) emulation was not properly implemented in Proton at the time,
but Wine 6.0 supports WMF and Proton 6.3 merges this update.
As mentioned above, AVPro may work on the current Proton.
But we can't test it and we're not sure if it works.
So, please add an option to enable AV Pro on Proton.
This allows us to test AVPro on Proton and has no effect on the current behavior.
There are several ways to implement the options, but a command line option would be great because it is easy to test.

Since a month ago VRChat is freezing for me during "Initializing World.." step in any world that contains a video player.
With video players being present in a lot of the worlds, and with video players now forced enabled for everyone including Linux, this poses a really big usability issue.
I've been trying to get attention to this issue for a month now without any response.
Having a way to disable video players via launch options or similar would provide a workaround for the problem while a fix is made (if ever).

I've upvoted this but also want to share some information that might explain why this isn't a thing (anymore?)
This comment on Proton issue tracker makes a nice summary of video issues on linux so far: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/1199#issuecomment-1214202488
There are over 600 comments on the linked issue but it is surely an information gold mine.
Using the comment linked above I discovered I was missing the i386 vdpau-drivers, as the 64bit versions don't seem to be used. After adding those I can report (partially) working video players on Linux. (Ubuntu 22.04, 5.17-oem kernel)
I have not tested streams but comments lead me to believe they still don't work. It also does not work in Proton 7.0_4, but is currently working in Proton Experimental.

implemented?
> EXPERIMENTAL: Added the --enable-avpro-in-proton launch option, which will allow Proton users to re-enable AVPro for video playback. This may cause crashes!

sksat: That launch option is not present in https://docs.vrchat.com/docs/launch-options Does it still work?
