Putting this as separate to my other canny about instance based performance settings as I think it's similar but adjacent idea.
The idea is to add an override to things like distance culling and Avatar Performance settings when you apply a safety setting.
Like if you have your shield set to maximum it will overwrite your current settings so that you only see 'good' rated avatars under 25MB download size and hide all avatars further than 10m away while a shield of None has Very Poor visible w/ no distance culling.
The Avatar Performance Settings and Distance Culling Settings are the second main way players tune their games performance alongside the shield settings so tying them together seems like a logical step.
Though for people who don't want their settings overridden you may want to add a toggle above these settings in the shield customization menu that disables these overrides on the given shield level so that the settings stay the same when switching to that level.
