Currently, anyone can send a friend request or group invite to anyone without restrictions unless they are blocked.
This poses a problem if you get too many friend requests/group invites for various reasons.
Such as:
  • Being well known
  • Having a public avatar or world become popular
  • Brigading (Being flooded with requests/invites for malicious reasons)
It would be great to be able to have one of, if not all of, the following options:
  • Block all incoming friend requests/group invites
  • Only allow friend requests/group invites from friends of friends
  • Only allow friend friend requests/group invites from users who are online and in the same instance
Being able to mix and match the 2nd and 3rd point would be nice as well.
This should only affect the users incoming friend requests and not their outgoing, unless the person they are trying to friend has also restricted their friend requests.
Please consider adding this feature.
