Add a Rejoin Instance Button
complete
owlboy
A simple button somewhere that allows someone rejoin the instance they are currently in.
This would be immensely useful for troubleshooting bugs and working around other issues.
It would be especially useful in private instances where it becomes a big process to get back in. One where you have to leave to then be able to request a new invite.

Adding a comment to this on what owlboy said with the limitation.
Yes, a rejoin button or making the button always interact able while you're in the instance.
We are disconnecting from the instance before joining it again, making the spot available. So should be possible to rejoin even with hard cap.

The current patch basically has this feature.
When you click the button to view info about what world you are in you are presented with a screen that has a button that lets you rejoin your current instance.
owlboy
The limitation here is that if the world is full, you can't rejoin, even though you would just be taking your own spot in the fullness.
A Rejoin World button is still needed.

Interesting idea. Will consider adding to bucket. Really the instance design needs a bit of a rework.

Ron: You probably see it too, but I can't count the number of times people think respawning would fix an issue:
"Hmm, respawning didn't fix it"
"No, you have to rejoin"
"Oh, how do I do that"
"Well, since we are in an invite+ instance and I'm not the owner, You need to leave and come back"
"Oh, so go to another world?"
"yes, go to another world, then wait for the API to update so it doesn't say you are still in the same world with me, then request a new invite from me and once I get it I'll send you an invite"
Vs.
"Hmm, respawning didn't fix it"
"Yeah, you need to click re-join not re-spawn"

Totally for it. As Oculus user, every time I log in a world, I must leave and come back again by rejoining friend, because Oculus + Seam VR got me latencies problems at first connexion in a new room.
On Invite only worlds it is a serious problem... And this idea would be a decent solution to this problem.
Ron
Sh3yn3: I'm an Oculus user and I never have the problem you are describing with first connection in a new room. Be curious to see your logs on that and repro steps.
Sh3yn3
Ron: I have no idea how to access to the log, will check it tonight.
About a redoo step.

Default oculus and default steam VR.
Start oculus, start steam VR, launch VRchat.
Join any instance world. If the world is very very well optimized to run at 90fps on VR and almost nobody is in, it's most of time just fine.
If the world is unoptimized, supposed to run at 45 fps, or has a lot of people in (Which is the case of 90% of the worlds I do join when I play), the first time you'll join in, you'll have a 10-20 fps and bugged headtracking. You leave to home and come back and you'll get the smooth headtracking back and also the normal fps rate.
If you do open your steam vr, or oculus menu at any time in a 45 fps world, (And often in a 90 fps world too) and close the menu, you'll be lagging as hell forever at 20 fps with a bugged headtracking and will have to rejoin the world back again.

Sh3yn3: That second part about opening the Steam or Oculus overlays and having your framerate destroyed is something I experience all the time, and have for nearly a year now.
