This feature is simple – you can clone yourself in multiple/different avatars
The ability to create an animated clone of your avatar that replicates all of your movements locally(only you can see it). It features a "Record" option in the radial menu that allows you to record your motions indefinitely and a "Stop Recording" option that allows you to create an animation that plays indefinitely until removed. The clone includes toggles, visemes, blend shapes and physbones interactivity.
The ability to create a frozen clone of your avatar that replicates your exact pose. You can either set a timer or hit a button to instantly clone yourself.
The capability to add an unlimited or limited number of clones, including the ability to remove clones individually or by "first created" or "last created" in their radial menu.
The ability to view cloned avatars through the camera.
If you change your avatar the clone's avatar will stay the same.
The viewing of cloned avatars is local by default, but you can choose to show specific friends clones.
What are the benefits of This?
This will benefit avatar creators by enabling them to effortlessly inspect their avatars for issues. It also benefits everyone by allowing them to view their avatars from all angles, including the back.
It makes it possible to create higher-quality VRChat content (video, projects, and filmmaking production) conveniently and efficiently.
It allows VRChat Players to assess their movements in real time from a third-person perspective.
Who benefits from this?
Here’s who this feature benefits:
Content Creators
Photography Enthusiasts
Avatar Creators
The player base
This was originally a mod known as Freezeframe (https://github.com/Er1807/FreezeFrame) that many at the time utilized to make amazing groundbreaking creative videos/photos that otherwise wouldn’t be possible, or would require many players.
This will be optimized by acting like static objects. Which means meshes are baked so they’re no longer skinned meshes.
Including shadows in the clones avatar would help with realism
the gif is my friend showcasing the mod that formerly did these things.

Over a year has gone by since this was tracked. I wonder if this will ever come to be.
As I was the original creator of it. I also dont have issues with VRC using my contributions for all the logic (Currently GPL v3 can be changed if VRC is intrested). But this was mostly fairly basic unity logic. Its sad that Content Creators still dont have the tools to get the most out of VRC
Also since Im reading through some of the old comments. Freezeframe had the capability to be synced over the network to have multiple people creating animations that everyone could see.

As someone who wants to create cool photos, short films and movies in VRChat potentially, this would be an amazing feature to have. We need this

I take photos for a few of my friends who sell avatars, so they can use them on their store pages. This mod used to be so useful. We would only need one person to freeze in multiple poses, even for group shots. Then, I could spend ages taking pictures of the frozen poses. It was really helpful.
Now, my pictures aren't nearly as good. I have to get a bunch of people and rush taking photos because I don't want them to stay in the same pose for too long. This means I don't get enough time to play around with my camera settings or lighting like I used to.
Also one of my friends before selling avatars could go on by them self and freeze there avatar in different poses so they could check for clipping on the avatar easier without needing to ask people for help constantly.
I really hope something like the previous mod is added again to VRChat.

this is kinda neat but it only benefits vrchat creators, this looks like a lot of work for a feature to be used by the minority of the vrchat community. this doesn't seem like a feature that will be even be used more than once by a large portion of the vrchat player base. the best i can think of for application purposes is a prank on a friend or a takeout in a shooter game world, but its applications are very few and not super worth it over any other feature that a mod removed.
