7.1 multichannel audio support

As a side request to my other post to have higher bit rate audio streaming.
AVPro is capable of doing up to 7.1 channel audio streaming however due to a limitation in the default Windows Media Foundation decoder inside of it, we are limited to 5.1. Having the extra channels of audio would be useful for doing a 5.1.2 setup for Dolby Atmos integration. or advanced custom immersive discrete layouts.
Would it be possible to use a different decoder that allows for higher bitrate and more multichannel support?

So FYI, 7.1 DOES work, but it seems incredibly picky about the codec. Specifically only EAC3 7.1 seems to work, encoded with the official Dolby Pro encoder.
