18+ Content (Verification, addons, and TOS change)
Lavender․
Look everyone, as we all know, 18+ instances are something that many people desire. I firmly believe that implementing a verification system to allow for 18+ instances and content would be beneficial, attracting more adult players to the game.
As you're aware, Vrchat is a game that includes minors, and we all take that into consideration. However, please listen; I understand that Vrchat is a company with ongoing projects, making it challenging to implement new features.
Nevertheless, it's essential to recognize the significance of 18+ sections within your game. There are adults who wish to have a space away from children and a safe environment for enjoyable activities without repercussions.
Incorporating a verification system and slightly modifying the Terms of Service can facilitate this change. I understand your concerns about not wanting the game associated with such content, but you must also realize that this addition attracts numerous creators and adults who are seeking a space to express themselves freely, without the fear of bans or children being present.
I strongly believe that this change would have a substantial positive impact. Although it requires time, please consider it seriously. Just as you care about the younger players in the game, it's equally important to consider and care for the adult community as well.
As you are aware, 18+ worlds or content are not allowed. However, you are aware of the immense community size, and banning every individual who breaches your TOS proves to be a challenging task. Instead of persisting with this approach, consider making changes that would enable this community to derive enjoyment from the game, much like everyone else, but in a manner unique to them.
VrChat Development Team and Owner,
I understand that catering to everyone's desires is a challenging endeavor. However, I urge you to consider the reality that adults will be adults, regardless of the circumstances. What they are seeking is a designated space removed from children, aimed at ensuring safety for both parties."
