VRC is no PG-13 game, everyone understands that who has played the game for more than 10 minutes. There is a lot of lewd people, avatars, and etc. Now this is an issue and users can get banned for it if it becomes public and someone gets caught, but they do not care if you do it privately. I think there could be a way better alternative to this however especially with the new edition of avatar icons and people putting lewd pics in that. Instead of just a button to confirm that you are over the age of 13, why not either add another button to confirm if you are over the age of 18 or have a place to put your age in. This way for anyone under 18, all lewd marked avatars and/or pics (if they add an option to mark it) can be hidden with a crossout, and anyone over can view with the option to disable it if they so please. Also adding an option in the safety menu to just turn off NSFW avatars animations (as they mostly are toggles) could be an option as well so it doesnt hide it in its original form which is most of the time SFW. This would fix a number of issues and stop people from getting banned for uneeded reasons, wanting to be themselves and wanting to be lewd, and prevent any legal issues for VRC.
Yes, people can lie about their age just as they could on pornhub, thats why the tos and click to confirm you are over the age is there, if the person lies it is then them at fault and they can get banned, it would not be VRC's. That does not inhibit this feature request at all

This game was never made for NSFW content in the first place, Avatars have tags which people can use, This is a 13+ rated game, The players make it 18+, Such as yourself.

WarmHeartbeat: The tags do absolutely nothing at the moment. Just because a game is not made to be something doesn't mean it doesn't evolve to be something else, and the creators must then adapt to that or push to completely remove it if they want it to be as it was originally intended.
That is why platforms like youtube actually look into situations and fix problems that could get creators videos taken down and striked like markiplier and moist for reasons unknown/unneeded and update their policy's frequently to adapt to the ever so expanding and evolving space that is youtube.
Right now it is what it is which includes a lot of lewd and them sticking with their outdated TOS and banning people for causes that could be fixed and handled otherwise is unneeded. This is an easy fix that everyone can appreciate, even unlewd people as they could have the option to hide it all when right now there is none other than hiding it after it's too late. Also this gives users an actual reason to mark their avatars as NSFW as most people do not mark that when uploading their avatars even when it is, as there is no benefit in doing it right now.

Ʌrtemus: You could lie about your age as well on pornhub, they can add a report button for underage people easy. It just saves companies from getting in trouble if they didn't have the verification.
