[1236] Please include icons to profile links such as gumroad/linktree/github/etc

I would like to request some more icons for profile link. It also helps with clarity on links so people know what they are pressing as I do assume most creators will like to link their work to their profile. I noted that you guys have ones for booth, twitter, twitch as well and I do believe extras that cater to the creator community will help. As you already have booth I would assume that gumroad, github, gitlabs and tip jars should fall under the same category.
Specifically ones as listed are most common in the creator community:
- gumroad
- GitHub
- payhip
- linktree
- Gitlab
- tipjars (such as Ko-fi, cashapp, paypal)

Bluesky as well, now that they have a proper icon

And add Steam icon please.

I would add that site-specific shortlinks (such as gum.co for gumroad) should also be recognized for the non-generic icons.

I would like the display in VRChat client to match the display on the VRChat web site.
Also, the problem is not only the difference in the supported sites, the web page side is currently matched with a partial match, so all URLs containing “vk” (e.g. Vket Store) will show the icon for ВКонтакте.

These would be nice to have -- we'll get to them when we can, likely shortly after release.

Mixcloud, Bandcamp and Soundcloud icons would also be neat!
Tayou
why not fetch favicons like the website is doing it?
Zеkk
Tayou: I second this!
Volkor
Tayou: I imagine they're a little hesitant since someone could use this to find IP addresses (if done client side), and trying to have all the edge cases around them.
Muuuch easier and safer (and more consistent with existing UI) for them to have their own icons
knah
Volkor: One could easily use a favicon proxy, such as
http://www.google.com/s2/favicons?domain=untrusted.domain.evil
Problem solved.
Volkor
knah: definitely, I initially wrote that in my comment but I figured the larger problem would be matching the style of the UI, and handling animated and intentionally awful (technically and content wise) icons
