On random occasions the VRChat process remains running after the application window closes. Steam reports VRChat as still running and will not allow a new instance to start. Attempting to kill the lingering process in Task Manager fails with a pop-up preventing termination. The only reliable recovery is rebooting the PC; a small number of users report the process sometimes resolves itself without a reboot. It is unknown whether crashes also trigger the condition.
