When playing on VRC on Quest, we can't use our Bluetooth keyboards on the VRC text inputs.
To reproduce the experiment :
  1. From Oculus Quest (tested on 3 and 3s), link your headset with a compatible Bluetooth keyboard (tested on Logitech MX Keys S) Or USB (Logitech Unify keyboard).
  2. Launch VRChat from the Quest headset.
  3. For any text inputs (log-in, search, chatbox), use the keyboard to type.
What happens from the experiment :
  • The text box don't detect inputs from the keyboard.
  • Although we could move, rotate and interact in game with our keyboard, we couldn't use the keyboard anymore unless the text input goes off.
Additional information :
  • The keyboard works in the game, even while browsing other apps in the meantime. The game detects the keyboard, as we can move (WASD), rotate (, .), open the menu (esc) and the contextual menu (R), only the text inputs (chatbox, log in, search) don't.
  • Fixing the bug would benefit a lot on ergonomics, and thus on overall VR experience from Quest users.
