VRChat May Be Causing League of Legends Client to Crash
ぽんぽこぽん
I'm experiencing frequent, sudden crashes of the League of Legends client during gameplay — specifically in both Summoner’s Rift and ARAM matches. After extensive testing, I have reason to believe VRChat may be contributing to or causing this issue due to a software conflict.
Here's what I have observed and tried:
The crashes occur even after a clean reinstall of Windows
NVIDIA GPU drivers and Windows Updates are fully up-to-date
I’ve run the Hextech Repair Tool and followed all official League crash troubleshooting steps
Despite all of the above, the crashes persisted
However, when I closed VRChat and OBS, then launched only League of Legends, no crashes occurred during the same type of gameplay session (ARAM). This strongly suggests that running VRChat concurrently with League may be contributing to or triggering the crash.
I am submitting this report in case VRChat is interfering with other full-screen or GPU-intensive applications in a way that could lead to instability or client crashes.

One of them is related to easy anti cheat, which is what VRChat uses.

i dont know what patch it was but this used to not be an issue a long time ago- then after a specific update, league of legends would always crash at a random time if vrchat is open but that was years ago 😩
