VRChat keeps running even after exiting

When I close the VRChat application, it still shows up as "running" in the Steam display.
I checked Task Manager and there is no sign of VRChat running. (EAC is still there?).
When I quit SteamVR or quit the app from Steam, it still shows "Stopping" and I can't start VRChat again.
I must restart your PC to start VRChat anew. (Log off did not work).
The problem is almost certain to occur after running it on SteamVR for an hour or so. (I have not tried this on Desktop).
Please investigate this as it is a pain to restart the PC every time.

I reinstalled VRChat and got the same error.
ErrorCode: 30005(CreateFile failed with 32.)

This seems to have been fixed in a recent update, it hasn't happened to me in a bit now

Sounds like the same problem here: https://feedback.vrchat.com/bug-reports/p/eac-failing-to-unload-preventing-starting-vrchat-again . Can you check if the EAC driver is still loaded?

This has been happening to me for a while too. I've heard of it happening in other games too.
I suspect the problem is that VRChat closes, but the EAC process keeps running (since you can't delete one of the EAC files because it's "opened in another program")
It fixed itself after waiting for a very long time (upwards of- or longer than an hour of VRChat still showing as running) or like OP said, when restarting the PC and thus exiting all running processes.
Quitting steam also shows the game as not running anymore, but this just gives an EAC error when you try to launch the game, because an EAC process is still invisibly running in the background somewhere. It doesn't show up on task manager.
Seeing as this happened in other games too, I'm not sure if VRC can do much about it, but I hope I'm wrong on that because it's a very annoying problem to deal with.
