Vive controls bugged
DankyX
Vive controllers are completely broken during this update.
It used to be when you try to gesture, you move your finger to the position on the track pad and when you move, you press on the track pad.
Now when you move around and lift your fingers to stop moving, it will activate your gestures. It just feels very oversensitive to gesture your fingers. Moving around will cause you to do some gestures like fingerpoint really easily.
Sometimes gestures feel really delayed and broken, mostly the fist gesture when playing around with the trigger it makes other gestures instead of fist
Navigating around with the new menu causes you to use your gestures, also when disabling gestures with the menu, you get stuck with thumbs up

As of update 2020.3.2p3
Analog trigger values are said to be fixed, however there is still a noticeable gap from where you start pulling the trigger and before it reaches the click.

DankyX: It's not fully fixed sadly. Before, the fist was 100% controlled analogue. If I was pulling my trigger really quick, it would close the fist really quick. That still isn't the case and on top of that, when I just slightly open my hand again, it just opens completely instead even when the trigger is technically still halfway pulled.

A similar problem is also with Windows Mixed Reality controllers. (This is also on vive controllers, not just wmr) When you hold trigger to use a gesture with vive advanced controls it will stop the gesture while you press the touchpads. Doesnt matter where you press them, it just stops the gesture. If you hold the right trigger and press the right touchpad it stops the right gesture, if you hold the left trigger and press the left touchpad it stops the left gesture. this is pretty annoying if you want to turn around while still playing a gesture, because it will reset and run from the beginning

I managed to work around the issues by using steamvr bindings.
What I did was add new input (DPAD Button Click) then bind center of dpad to Right Application Menu.
Hope this at least temporarily help those who strugle, it seem to work for me at least.

Activating gesture to play an animation and then turning or moving with the same controller causes the gesture to "reset" starting the animation over, which is kinda pepehands.

This must be what I was experiencing. Since the update my gestures have felt slightly awkward and I've been constantly pulling my shocked facial expression accidentally (one I use sparingly), often without realising. It's something which never really happened before. I was trying to figure out if the track pad segments had changed in size, but this seems a more likely explanation of the bug.
Whatever it is, something is very plainly wrong, and hopefully can be resolved soon.

From what i known, yes this can happen even if vive advanced control is on for some reason
RootVR
From what I have seen it happen when you have vive advanced control toggled off.

We've been having the same problems with the new menu randomly activating animations/gestures.
That goes the same with moving, turning and jumping (etc)
It does get extremely annoying when you wanna do something simple as moving, turning or jumping having an animation or sound effect going off every 2 seconds.
Hopefully the devs will fix this because this is a huge issue for VIVE users.
