Since 2024.4.2 Open Beta and Live, We often experience very long "Unpacking" when loading avatar first time we wear the avatar.
According to the VRChat log, it looks the long “Unpacking” phase is caused by server side avatar analysis.
(There are many log with "Waiting for analysis to complete for avatar” and indicates accessing
https://api.vrchat.cloud/api/1/analysis/<fileid>/<num>/<string>
, and after first long loading complete loading avatar is very quick so I assumed it’s server side analysis)
Therefore, It looks VRChat client itself do Unpack nothing while long “Unpacking” phase so the progress message is not correct. I think this is a bug.
Please show correct status message that show the avatar is in server-side analysis like "Analyzing on Server..."
Fake long Unpacking gives the misleading impression that the avatar is extremely heavy or that the PC specifications are low.
