Releasing Tab after using the free-mouse to grab an object also causes you to drop the object you just grabbed, even if you are holding down right click.

I am unable to reproduce this. Moving and jumping works fine on desktop while pressing or holding tab.
Is this specific worlds?

StormRel What OP means is that Tab doesn't know whether the QM is open or not, and thinks you're trying to select a user.
Before todays update I am all but certain you could open the QM and use Tab to select someone, and with the QM off Tab didn't do anything.

Notice how my cursor changes to the usual arrow if I hold down Tab.

So I wasn't going schizo, they did change/break this after the latest Unity 6 update.
