Switching controller types causes a permanent controller outline

EsserLamp
- Use any type of controller (for example, oculus touch).
- Turn on another type of controller (like the knuckles controllers)
When switching from oculus controllers to index controllers, it will use the index controllers, but a white outline of those controllers will persist.
And another side effect of doing so is that the one-handed display will start spazzing as well.

This bug is extremely annoying. It happens very often with steam link since the quest controllers are required to initiate it.

[BUG] Outlines of VR controllers lingering and causing tracking issues
Salbug
So this is an older bug I meant to report a while back but never got around to it and it seems no one has made a canny about it but I've experienced an issue where if I idle long enough with my HMD taken off while having my controllers turned off and plugged in to charge, I encounter an issue where the outlines of my index controller are permanently visible and they've caused issues with my hand tracking. A friend of mine (Z0NE) has also encountered this issue and everytime it makes it extremely difficult for them to use their avatar pen because the gesture tied to the avatar pen just has trouble registering and the only way to fix the issue is to restart VRChat. I have no photos of the problem occurring but the next time I encounter it I'll make sure to provide it in a comment to this canny. Thank you.
The way this bug may be reproduced is by taking your headset off while idling in VRChat and turning your controllers off and putting them on charge for a while.
EDIT: Attached an image of what the issue looks like.

I've got a similar issue where these controller outlines will linger, with restarting the game being the only way to get rid of them. It also happens to me even without taking the HMD off, but it doesn't cause t racking issues for me. The outline models just get stuck to my hands.
