Soft-locked from a launch URL into "Connecting..." / black screen for two minutes: "Could not refresh room because: Must request travel first․"

After exiting from desktop mode and launching into VR mode of the same instance, I was soft-locked in a loading screen for two minutes while observing a black VRChat window in desktop mode and "Connecting..." in SteamVR and then sent to a newly created Friends instance after failing to enter room in time.
- Joined a friend in a Friends+ in desktop mode for ~31 minutes. (03:58:48 - 04:31:51)
- The only friend in the instance left. (04:20:30)
- I grabbed the launch URL for this instance from VRChat Home and exited VRChat.
- I launched into VR mode with SteamVR using a launch link to Friends+: <https://vrchat.com/home/launch?worldId=wrld_364b12a0-6deb-48e3-bd4a-86a3b940592d&instanceId=09174~hidden(usr_1e69bd21-037c-4bcc-8036-4aeccd3ca231)~region(use)>. (04:32:00)
- Soft-locked in "Connecting..." in VR / black screen in desktop mode window until timeout after 2 minutes. Unable to take a screenshot in SteamVR because the VRChat client was a white window in VR with "Connecting..." in the background.

Expected behavior: Rejoin the instance normally from a launch URL in VR.
Actual behavior: Soft-locked for 2 minutes with a black VRChat window, TryAlternateInstance sent me to my own alternative Friends instance instead of the instance (Friends+) I wanted to join.
Not a recurring issue, yet. Unknown if this is reproducible.

I reproduced this immediately after submitting this bug report, with the same steps.

Apparently both times the instance was emptied (destroyed) between the time I tried to exit desktop mode and launch into VR mode, because the same friend (04:24:18 & 04:57:59) left the instance before I rejoined them in the same instance.
