For some reason, it keeps randomly removing people off my social favorites list, at least it seems to do so with the first favorite list, the other two don't seem to have that issue from what I saw.

I've checked if I was unfriended but no, I wasn't. I looked up the user (sometimes they were online as well) and re-added them back onto the list, and eventually it removed them again. I know that because my first list is always full so when it is 31/32, it's pretty easy to see something happened. Today, it was went down to 26/32 without anyone unfriending me and without me removing anyone.

This issue was identified and a fix was rolled out a few days ago!

Further update that this is still happening as of now, and I have refilled and lost favorites no less than 3 times in the past 3 months. It definitely appears to have a correlation with how frequently the users are online, as friends I have on those lists who essentially never log in haven't budged, but friends who I see regularly keep deleting themselves from the list. My total favorites are currently at 86/96 despite having maxed it out about 3 weeks ago.

This has happened at least 2-3 times over the past 2-3 weeks where friends I'm about to invite to my world just randomly disappear from my favorites list, which I discover is because of the game removing them from my friends list, since I have to favorite them again.

I had wondered how my favorites list had gone from 32/32 people to now 24 over the past few months, and now I know why. The game keeps randomly removing them

Noticed this was happening and thought I may have accidently unfavorited people. I confirmed it wasn't me when I just re-added someone and next day when update 2020.4.4p3 build 1033 came out I was missing the same and more people from my list. Curious if they are lost during updates or just periodically.

Edit - Additional information: Lost favorites in all 3 of my lists.

Can confirm. I have to search for them by typing their name and then I can invite them.

This still seems to be the case for me as well. Whenever you go above 26/32, the oldest ones get discarded on the next VRChat start, bringing the amount back down to 26.

Same thing happens to me, at first I thought someone might be on my account, I changed my password, re-added 2fa but my favorites still keep disappearing from all 3 groups. I am also not getting unfriended or blocking someone/getting blocked. Last time my friend got unfavorited twice the same day. It's getting quite annoying trying to figure out who I loose all the time.

May or may not be the case, but one potential cause for this, is temporarily blocking a person. For example, if a friend blocks you (or you them) and then immediately unblocks, in order to reload their avatar or in an attempt to fix some other bug perhaps, then that will also remove you from each others favourites lists.

Could still be it's own bug, but that's at least one potential cause worth being aware of.
