Environment

Platform : PCVR (Steam) and Quest 2 / Quest 3 (stand-alone)

VRChat build 2025.3.2p2

In Quick Menu → Social → Groups, Show My Groups is set to off (eye-slash icon)

Steps to Reproduce

User A and User B both join Group X.

Each user opens Quick Menu → Social → Groups and turns Show My Groups off.

User B opens User A’s profile (or vice-versa).

Expected: Because each user hid their groups, no group icons should appear.

Actual: Group X still shows up under “Mutual Groups”, revealing membership.

Additional Observations

If several groups are shared, every one of them is shown.

Issue reproduces after client restart and on both PCVR and Quest standalone.

If the users share zero groups, “No Groups” displays correctly.

Impact

Users who rely on “Show My Groups” for privacy can unintentionally expose group affiliations—problematic for private, role-play, or staff-only groups.

Suggested Fix

When Show My Groups is off, suppress display of mutual groups in all profile views, mirroring how hidden friends are treated.
