I'm having a similar issue.
My setup is a physbone chain (a tail) and I have added a parent constraint to one of the final links. My idea is to animate it so a toggle makes the tail jump to the position of the armature wrist, so it can be waved around with my hands.
The result, both in Unity and in VRChat, is that the bone moves to the parent position, but the physbone chain does not react, and the geometry deforms (crude pic included: pink are physbones (root is leftmost), white is constrained bone, blue is mesh).
I have tried moving the constraint script to a different game object, just in case, but keeps behaving the same.
Position and rotation constraints behave in the same way.

Hi, thanks for your report.
Please can you give specific steps for how to reproduce this issue in an avatar project? I can see a similar effect by adding both a VRChat constraint component and a physbone component to the same game object and then entering play mode. Does this match your case?
You've cited this as an SDK specific issue that started in 2025.1.1, but there was no SDK release alongside this client release - our most recent SDK release at this time is 3.7.5, which was released on December 11th 2024. Can you please confirm which SDK version you're seeing this issue in?

This issue definitely started occurring with the latest update. (To clarify, I mean that this problem arises specifically in the latest SDK and the latest VRChat release.)
As you mentioned, the issue occurs when both a Constraint component and a PhysBone component are present on the same GameObject. This was not an issue in previous versions.
With this update, gimmicks that previously worked without problems on avatar clothing containing Constraints are now bugged and no longer function correctly.

Currently, this functionality is not working due to a bug.

This issue was not a problem at all until the 2025.1.1 version update. As you can see, the part that includes Position Constraint and Phys can be confirmed in avatar details and Unity. However, the moment I put this on, Constraint stops
