Repairing Easy Anti-Cheat not working (win11)
anatawa12
When I start VRChat, the error "Easy Anti-Cheat is not installed" so I cannot launch VRChat.
I found the EAC-official doc to repair EAC (the following link).
However, I could not found 'EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe' in 'EasyAntiCheat' folder.
I found exe with similar name 'EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe' but running it as administer does not working.
What's the correct way to re-setup EAC?
I've tried to re-installing VRC but not working.
It should be true this is not the bug of VRC but of EAC however EAC is a component of VRC so I reported here.

frou01, Thank you. It works for me.
@.VRChat, is it the officially recommended way for users to repair EAC?

In my environment, User Account Control asked for permissions if the EAC wasn't installed. If I allow it here, the EAC is installed and VRChat starts successfully. If I refuse, User Account Controll open again the next time I start up.

It seems that Steamworks InstallScript of VRChat is incomplete.
The uninstall command must be executed on uninstall/verify hook.
So technically this is not EAC's fault, I think.

EDIT:
Also, the help topic below simply instructs wrong steps.
VRChat uses "EOS" version of EAC, not "standalone" one.
However, links to easy.ac pages in this page are listing steps for the latter.
That confuses users repairing EAC installation.

It's will help you. >EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe install <Your ProductId>
Your ProductId: in json file.
But Question, on Installing VRC via steam, why cannot automatically execute the simple command?

frou01: Thanks a lot. Replacing 'install' to 'uninstall' also worked for uninstalling 'Easy Anti-Cheat'.
