Hello,
Since updating my Meta Quest headset to system version 2.6, the microphone volume in VRChat has become extremely low when playing in standalone mode.
Before this update, my microphone worked perfectly in VRChat. Immediately after installing the update, other players started telling me that my voice was extremely quiet. Although they can still hear me, the volume is so low that it is difficult to understand what I am saying.
I have confirmed that this is
not a hardware issue
. The microphone works normally in every other application I have tested, including Meta Quest screen recordings, WhatsApp, and Discord. The problem only occurs in VRChat.
Inside VRChat, the microphone input meter barely responds, even when I speak loudly or directly into the microphone.
### Troubleshooting already attempted
* Restarted the headset.
* Reinstalled VRChat.
* Verified that microphone permissions are enabled.
* Disabled noise suppression.
* Lowered the microphone activation threshold to the minimum.
* Increased the microphone input volume in the VRChat settings.
None of these steps changed the behavior.
Based on my testing, the issue appears to have started immediately after the Meta Quest v2.6 system update and only affects VRChat in standalone mode. Since the microphone works correctly in every other application, this seems to be a software compatibility issue rather than a hardware problem.
I hope this information helps identify and resolve the issue. Thank you.
