For the last few months, there is an in-game VRChat error where a few users who use Quest 2 and 3 standalone will attempt to talk to a PCVR user and they cannot hear or understand what the the PCVR user is saying.
Specifically, the PCVR users audio will "loop" for 3+ seconds over and over (or loop silence) for several Quest users in the instance. The audio loop will sometimes, after a few minutes, change to a different ~3 second loop that the PCVR user said.
Changing audio sources seems to change the audio loop to a different ~3 second loop.
This loop does not end until the PCVR user rejoins the instance (which is very inconvenient if you are trying to not lose ownership of the world).
It appears that the Quest users who experience the audio glitch can't fix this issue by rejoining the instance (even after some time has passed) or by restarting their game.
I use Virtual Desktop and its audio drivers. Not sure if this is impacting all PCVR users or just those using Virtual Desktop.
This is happening for PCVR/Quest users who are and are not on the beta and it has been happening since at least build 1470.
I have not had the opportunity to see if this also impacts android mobile users, standalone users talking to each other, or see if either PCVR/Quest users reinstalling VRChat/changing some other setting fixes the problem.
Please let me know if you need anymore information.
