So here are my feedback for the new VRChat Home. Those are purely subjective from my own experience at making worlds.
Better Colliders:
  • Colliders need to be generally smoother. eg: In front of the portals, the mesh collider is the same as the actual geometry and not appropriate on the floor; we can easily get stuck or bump on unwanted edges.
No Reflection?
  • I believe that some reflections would definitively add a nicer touch, I would add them on reflective surfaces like at the spawn below our feet on the glass/ice, also on the panels?
Post-Process:
  • A simple color grading on neutral to get rid of the "burned" lightmaps and a little bit of bloom to make the lamps pops a little bit, I think this is the bare minimum for any world in general.
Skybox:
  • I know that a skybox texture can add a lot of space itself, but this one is really pixelated and we can clearly see the banding. I would double the resolution to get a better compromise between quality and compression.
UI:
  • The first thing that came in my mind right after the spawn: its possible to click on the pedestals from the spawn area. I can certainly imagine people changing their avatar by mistake. I would only activate the interaction with the canvas when the player is near from it.
UV Scale:
  • I can spot many textures that have a totally different texel density (Wood floor vs the table vs rocks, etc.. ). Having a consistent texel density across all textures would probably feel more polished.
