Mirrors do not reproduce mesh toggles/animations/particles properly

Avatars in mirrors are even more confusingly breaking. worse than before.
such things as even material property changes via animation or even simply the blue man avatar that happens when you load avatars is broken and doesnt animate in mirrors

A fix for these issues is currently live on the 2019.4.1 Open Beta. Please check your content and let us know if things are working now. Also note that the Open Beta is on Unity 2018, so please reupload testing content to ensure correct behavior.

Aev: When you use a fixed joint and walk forwards, it stops animating in the mirror till i walk behind it or stare at it, then it will animate again. Late bump, but its somewhat fixed and not sure if its a local issue.

For me it's very inconsistent what is shown in the mirror and what not when it comes to particles. But it is super annoying. I'd like to have some nice thumbnails and screenshots but this is close to impossible. Mirrors do not reflect almost everything, The ingame camera doesn't as well and world cameras only in rare cases.
I have a bunch of particle systems in GameObjects with a fixed joint.
One is always active and follows my feet. It doesn't show trails but it does show the particle itself (mesh sphere with shader).
One is on my back, toggled with the inventory system. It is fully shown in mirrors with particle and trail when I toggle it. But it stays when I untoggle it.
The rest which follows hands and armature triggered with gesture combinations doesn't show up at all in mirrors.

It is a problem for a long time. I and many others would love to see a fix for that.

Any object that is made to appear using IsActive instead of activating its Skinned/Mesh Renderer component will not show up in mirrors and the photo camera/stream camera.
In addition, objects with the same name in the hierarchy, despite being located in different parts of the hierarchy, will randomly have the same position and material as the other object.

After the Unity version upgrade, mesh renderer updates will not appear in cameras and mirrors. Such things like Material updates, or mesh renderer toggles, will not update in mirrors/cameras

To me, I've always loved VRChat for the ability to create my own particle effects and see them visually casting off the center/origin of the effect, the avatar. I'm not sure there remains a way to do this, which for me has taken away something really substantial from the game. If there could just be a way to locally toggle in our own settings, the ability to see just our own particles in the mirror and on camera, that would be stellar.

this behavior appeared some time ago, when the major changes to the mirror were done. it is only local, other people still see it in the mirror. Just yourself not.
