Major performance regression with mirrors
needs more information
Orео
Ever since the last build or so, mirrors have had a much bigger impact on performance, seems like some kind of regression.

Are you sure it is related to mirrors and not a general regression? Could you test if switching to the perf-test branch as described here: https://discord.com/channels/189511567539306508/503009489486872583/1491123266801369361 helps?

For those without Discord (thanks to Tony_Lewis on X: https://x.com/slord399/status/2041566412758515796):
- In Steam, right-click VRChat, select "Properties", then "Game Versions & Betas".
- At the bottom, enter the code LetsGoFastAgain.
- Opt-in to the perf-testbeta branch.
Then, play VRChat as usual.

_tau_ I tried the perf-test branch and it doesn't have the problem.
In the current stable build, the cpu and gpu usage is considerably higher when looking at a mirror and the frames are reduced heavily.
This problem isn't seen in perf-test, it has lower cpu and gpu usage with much higher frames like previous stable builds had.
I don't know if it's specifically related to mirrors, but that's where I'm seeing the most obvious difference.
Edit: Just wanted to add that the regression I'm seeing is still present in the latest stable build 1819 that was just pushed out recently.
