Item Contact Interactions between both Item and Users are dependent on Avatar Self Interact and Avatar Interaction Settings

Self interact
- spawn marshmallow and campfire.
- cook marshmallow on campfire.
- turn off avatar self interaction toggle under Your Avatar in settings.
- Attempt to cook marshmallow on fire, will not cook.
Avatar Interaction
- have one user spawn a campfire and a second user spawn an marshmallow.
- cook marshmallow on fire.
- have one user set their avatar interaction of the second user to 'force off'
- Attempt to cook marshmallow on fire, will not cook.
Avatar Self Interaction being off disables contact interactions between two items spawned by the user and between the user and their items.
Items set by players who have avatar interactions turned off will also not have item contacts interact w/ other users items or users contacts. I have not tested if this impacts world contacts.
If this is the intended behavior there should be some sort of indicator that item interactions may no work correctly when these interaction settings are toggle off. Like maybe a rewording of the settings/ settings descriptions to include items and/or adding a n indicator when the item is selected that the user who owns it has interactions turned off for you which make the item contacts not interact with you or you items.

Thanks for your feedback. It is intentional that avatar interaction settings also apply to any items spawned by the affected player. We appreciate this isn't currently very clear from the labels in the UI and will look into improving them.

Partially related ~ This behavior is rather unintuitive for creators too. If you disallow self from interacting with a contact, it can't receive contacts from any items you place.
I wish there was specifically an option for
Disallow Items
instead.
