Index Controller Disable Touch Sensors for Broken Controllers

Since with my Index controller that the touch sensor for the B Button and the Thumb Stick register it always being touched. This would lead to me not being able to do certain gestures (OpenHand, Thumbs Up) that require your Thumb to be in the neutral state, as the damaged controller would register my thumb in a downward position. With the prior controls system that I could set the action for the B Button and Thumb Stick for 'Touch' to be 'None' and this would just disable the touch sensor for moving the the thumb at all, which would work great.
With the new system even having 'None' set to all the touches on my controller, it is still registering a touch and moving the thumb down so I cannot use that controller to do any gestures that require the thumb in the neutral state again. I can disable the entire button with SteamVR's controls but then obviously it renders the controller useless.

The bindings applied to VRChat do not affect how SteamVR treats skeletal input data.
One way around your particular issue would be to unbind the thumbstick touch gesture in the VRChat bindings as you mention and then use Legacy Fingers on your avatar (you can enable this setting in your Action Menu next to your Avatar Scale). This should respect the binding for the thumb position.

_tau_ Going into SteamVR's bindings for VRChat and unbinding all touch sensors for buttons and thumbstick results in the hand (with legacy_fingers enabled) going into an open hand state where the thumb is in the resting/default physical position, however the thumb in that state doesn't do anything for gestures, OpenHand or ThumbsUp gestures still don't function.
