  1. Open VRChat
  2. Load a test world with an AVPro player with a URL of a low latency HLS stream
  3. Video stream will not instantly start on PC (takes time to load)
  4. Video stream will have a ~35 second delay from the source stream
The HLS stream I have been testing with is https://live.stream.starcollection.mu:8888/stream/test/index.m3u8
I have tested the HLS loading and latency across multiple devices available to me, the results are:
  • PC:
-- Loading = Long Delay
-- Latency = ~35 second delay
  • Quest 3:
-- Loading = Instant
-- Latency = ~3 seconds
  • iOS:
-- Loading = Instant
-- Latency = ~2 seconds
  • Android
-- Loading = Instant
-- Latency = ~1 second
I have attached an image showing photos from all 4 platforms, with the time on the stream added by OBS and the time above being the local time using a clock asset.
Please can you investigate the cause of both the long loading time on PC (other platforms display the video instantly) and the large delay/latency on the PC compared to the other platforms.
The same world was used to test all devices, no changes was made between tests.
As a note the AVPro player component had Low Latency enabled
I have tested this on 2 different PCs and the result was the same.
