HandOpen Override being triggered when interacting with an object.

I'm using an animation Override on HandOpen (grip button on Vive) to emit a particle which works fine.
But when I grab an object in-game (using the trigger button mapped to FIST), it causes the HandOpen override to play.
This only occurs when you actually grab an object/interact with something. If you pull the trigger to do the fist animation without an object in reach, it does not trigger HandOpen.

I've seen it happening in a slightly different way. When someone drops an item (or someone takes it from their hand) the HandOpen gesture triggers, even on desktop. It's annoying as hell regardless, as depending on the HandOpen override of the avatar it can look weird as hell

For clarification, this happens with objects that automatically drop when [Fist] is released. It does not happen with, say, the pens in the Presentation Room because you have to manually use [HandOpen] to drop them. My guess is that VR Chat automatically plays [HandOpen] after you pick up an object so that the item drops automatically when you release [Fist] (because of [Fist] never releasing 100% when you let go of the trigger for some reason). This is probably what's causing the emission of your particles that are also mapped to [HandOpen]. I'm sure there's a better way VR Chat can handle objects that drop on release...
