- Open VrChat, EasyAntiCheat is loading fine, VRChat game window appears and crash is immediate.
This happens on both modes: desktop and vr.
Last time i played couple of days ago with no issues.
I did reinstall graphic drivers (using ddu), cleared vrchat cache, reinstalled vrchat.
Other unity games seems to work perfectly fine though.
no logs appearing in %appdata%LocalLow VRChat other than output log, which says couple of words;
2025.04.06 08:17:46 Debug - Odin Serializer ArchitectureInfo initialization with defaults (all unaligned read/writes disabled).
2025.04.06 08:17:46 Debug - Odin Serializer detected whitelisted runtime platform WindowsPlayer and memory read test succeeded; enabling all unaligned memory read/writes.
Tried different ram configs: 80 gb (8+32
8+32) , 64gb (patriot viper steel 32x32 gb) 32gb (8+8
8+8), 16gb with two different pairs (thermaltake z-one, kingston fury beast) Specs:
ryzen 5700x3d , 80gb ram, rtx4070, windows 10 22h2, MSI B550-A PRO (latest A.J1 bios)
Again - all that config was working perfectly fine couple of days ago
i cant enter the game to see build number, but crash window says VRChat - Unity 2022.3.22f1-DWR_8f2e33daf031

I managed to fix that. Two of crash dump files located at %TEMP%\VRChat\VRChat\Crashes\ had nsi / nsi.dll and dnsapi / dnsapi.dll modules crashed with Stack overflow - code c00000fd . Possible too much redirects -> malfunctioning dns settings for whatever reason, when only vrchat was crashing.
Running commands in CMD ( PowerShell for me ) :
netsh int ip reset
netsh winsock reset
helped me to fix that.
So i found whats going on. with some recent updates, for whatever reason Vrchat is very not happy when you modify your winsock for ANY given reason. if you are running proxifier for example - it will interfere with Vrchat now, even if it WAS NOT THE CASE until april 4th. Dumb thing, as i run server that needs some connections to be redirected through tunnels. Now i need actually to stop server connections to run vrchat. Great.
