I'm using TTS Voice Wizard for speech-to-text communication in VRChat as a mute, and VRChat 2026.3.3 Build
1919
broke my speech-to-text setup. OSC opens the keyboard, but doesn't fill in the message to input in Build
1919
.
This issue is not reproducible in the previous VRChat 2026.3.2p2 Build
1903
.
The attached two videos show the VRChat keyboard behavior from both Build
1902
(not affected) and Build
1919
(affected), without restarting TTS Voice Wizard in between.
Steps to reproduce:
  1. Download TTS Voice Wizard, and optionally setup Whisper as a local speech-to-text provider instead of the default System Speech.
  2. Enable "Show Keyboard Before Sending Message" in TTS Voice Wizard Settings.
  3. Go to "Text to Speech" tab in VRChat and press the "Speech to Text to Speech" button to start audio recognition (Whisper) and enable speech-to-text.
  4. Try using your voice to send a chatbox message via OSC to VRChat with TTS Voice Wizard.
  5. Repeat with "Show Keyboard Before Sending Message" disabled in TTS Voice Wizard Settings.
  6. Repeat in the previous Build 1902 (
    steam://nav/console
    ,
    download_depot 438100 438101 6670935574926556690
    ).
See the videos.
Expected result: The chatbox input should open on voice activation when "Show Keyboard Before Sending Message" is enabled, and the speech-to-text message should be added to the VRChat keyboard input in Build
1919
.
Actual result: The chatbox input opens on voice activation when "Show Keyboard Before Sending Message" is enabled, but the VRChat chatbox input will be empty in Build
1919
(works in Build
1902
). TTS Voice Wizard logs the message correctly in logs. The message from TTS Voice Wizard via OSC can only be sent if "Show Keyboard Before Sending Message" is disabled.
